So afraid to fail
that you won’t set sail.
Take a deep breath; exhale.
Stop worrying about every detail.
Get out of your head,
pick up the needle & thread.
Cut the shit — bonehead,
carry no regrets to your deathbed.
Stop gathering rust outside the shed.
Click on your skis;
set sails to the breeze —
all beginnings start by small degrees.
Remember, life has no guarantees.
I don’t mean to be so feathery.
Really, don’t listen to me;
I’m sailing through the desert, cursing the sea.
